“Election Day”

Written by Dick Roberts

Have you heard of Albanese, Bowen and Wong,

In a trifecta of losers, they’d all get the gong.

Not to mention Plibersek, a cunning one is she,

A scoundrel, nonetheless, for all the world to see.

Power bills are rising, almost every single day,

Blackouts are coming since Bowens had his way.

National pride is fading, we’re country now lost.

Albanese has sold us out, at our children’s cost.

Don’t start me on all the treason, under Penny Wong,

How could she desert the Jews, it just seems so damn wrong.

What about charming Charmers, isn’t he a bloody tool,

Busted our economy and treats us all like fools.

What about the promises made to me and you,

Tax cuts, wages growth and power bills just to name a few.

The cost-of-living crisis, they care nothing about,

Spending our taxes, whilst Australians all miss out.

We can’t forget Tony Burke, he came to save the day,

When Giles messed up and the criminals got away.

But Burke can’t be trusted, a conniving one is he,

He’ll tell us that the desert, is the bloody sea.

Immigration is not falling, despite what they said,

They’re coming in thousands, while Aussies they still beg.

They beg for some compassion, for the working class,

As it won’t be long before, we’re all out on our arse.

So, take some care this election, and give it some thought,

We need to pull them up and stop the bloody rort.

Don’t ask me who to vote for, cause I don’t bloody know.

Maybe Pauline’s One Nation, they seem to have a go.

I am interested in writing short stories for my pleasure and my family's but although I have published four family books I will not go down that path again but still want what I write out there so I will see how this goes
