Don’t blame it on The Brumbies

Paleface King of the Brumbies killed by malicious stealth and those who hate Australia, its history values and traditions

πŸ’”πŸ’”STOP THE SLAUGHTERπŸ’”πŸ’”

Written by Mandy Fanelli

Can you see the pain

Inscribed within the eyes,

Can you feel the fear

Watching on as others die.

Can you smell the death

Inside that evil place,

The pacing and the racing

One’s heart and mind must face.

The blood drips down the walls

The horrors they could tell,

Every life that is extinguished

As they die a torturous hell.

One day grazing in their home

The next trapped in metal yards,

The instinct to take flight

Left bloody and permanently scarred.

Loaded onto trucks

Secretly taken out the back door,

No rehoming for these precious souls

What awaits is the slaughter floor.

No compassion for these living beings

That once ran like the wind,

No discussion of empathetic routes

Could only be described as sin.

There has to be another way

Where kindred hearts connect,

One that involves the understanding

Of living without regret.

Stop slaughtering our precious Brumbies

There has to be another way,

Stop hurting all the human hearts

You are crushing along the way.

These brumbies are our past

Their future is in doubt,

A Country built on horseback

Has to have some serious clout.

Every Brumby that you kill

Is another stab right to the chest,

Start thinking with your hearts

And common sense will fix the rest.

I am interested in writing short stories for my pleasure and my family's but although I have published four family books I will not go down that path again but still want what I write out there so I will see how this goes
